If you follow me, you probably already know my story. I became a medical cannabis patient as I was medically retired from military service. I use cannabis to manage my PTSD and chronic pain issues. I also became a medical cannabis expert and advocate. Because at that point, there really weren't that many voices in my state, especially veterans voices, and for voices calling for the legalization of whole plant cannabis medicine, and doing it in a way that would actually get cannabis legalized. This is when I met Christine Stenquist. She is what I like to call a mover and a shaker and a fierce patient advocate in the state of Utah, and nationally in the medical cannabis space. She's one of the leading patient advocates that got the ball rolling to bring medical cannabis to the state of Utah, we sat down, we got high and went down memory lane talking about some of these key moments that how our coalition of patients achieved what every single expert inside and outside of the state said it would take over a decade. And we did it in four years. We'll also break down some of the problems with the medical cannabis program that still need fixing, and how patient advocacy and giving voice to patients is still the most powerful tool in bringing about progress and change. Please welcome Christine Stenquist
